How can Muse read my WhatsApp chats?

Your vault connects to WhatsApp as a linked device, like WhatsApp Web or Desktop. You choose which chats to share. Muse then reads new messages from those chats in one of two ways:

Directly, through MCP, a standard for connecting agents to tools.
By email. wa2agent emails new messages to your Gmail or Outlook inbox, which Muse already reads.

Choose your chats. Share selected chats or all of them. Change your choices anytime.
Connect Muse. Create an access key for MCP, or turn on email delivery to the inbox Muse reads.

Which chats can Muse see?

Only the chats you share. Pick individual groups and direct messages, or share all of them. Change your choices anytime.

Can Muse send WhatsApp messages through wa2agent?

No. wa2agent is read-only. Muse cannot send WhatsApp messages through it.

Can Muse see my older messages?

Collection starts after you link WhatsApp and save your chats. Earlier messages may be unavailable.

Who can access my messages?

Each user has a separate encrypted vault. Selected text messages are kept for 30 days. Your stored messages are encrypted with a key only your agent holds. We can’t read them. Privacy Policy

How do I stop Muse from seeing a chat?

Untick the chat in your vault and save. You can also pause collection, turn off email, revoke your agent’s access, or delete your vault at any time.
